Congratulations to alumni Astrid Hsu, recipient of the 2019-2020 National Geographic Early Career Grant!

In addition to her role as a research associate at Scripps Institution of Oceanography with Dr. Aburto and Dr. Ramanathan, Astrid will lead the effort to monitor mangroves using drones and is working with Mexico’s National Commission of Natural Protected Areas to train their representatives in using these tools.
